Meet the Founder

Shelly Boshart Davis

My dad started our trucking company in 1983 with two trucks and a dream.

As early as I can remember, I worked in the truck shop and on the farm with my dad to help the family business. I learned early on the importance of truckers and the industry to our community.

A lot of years and a lot of miles have passed since then, but just few years ago, my business partner, Macey Wessels, and I bought Boshart Trucking from my parents, and we’re still truckin’ out of our small shop just outside of Albany, Oregon. We specialize in hauling agricultural products locally here in the Willamette Valley.

Like many of you, trucking is my livelihood. I also have the honor of representing my neighbors and community in the Albany area in the Oregon State Legislature. During my short time in Salem, I’ve learned a hard truth: Oregon politicians aren’t listening to truckers.

That’s why I started Heroes on the Highway. This isn't just about defending our livelihoods. It’s about showing appreciation for the truckers that keep our economy moving. I lived the sacrifice my dad made pounding the pavement, making ends meet for his young family.

There are thousands of Oregonians, like you, out there doing the same for their families. But thanks to politicians’ constant tax increases and regulations, making this career pencil is getting harder and harder.

This career is not easy, but you are essential. So, from the bottom of my heart: Thank you to all the truckers out there. Thank you for the sacrifices you make for your family. I am motivated every day by your commitment to this work.

Over and out,

Shelly
